Homebrew Abyssborne Species Details

👤 Abyssborne

“They were forged in the dark, not to serve it—but to defy it.”

Abyssborne are mortals who have been marked, altered, or born from the influence of the Abyss, yet resist its corruptive grasp. Their souls carry a constant war between light and dark, and many become warriors, guardians, or cursed wanderers. Though often shunned or feared, they stand as bulwarks against the very void that shaped them.

⚔️ Echo of the Abyss (1/Short Rest)

As a bonus action, you can summon a shadowy echo of yourself for 1 minute. This echo occupies a space within 15 feet and can:

  • Move up to 30 feet as a bonus action on your turn

  • Be used as the origin point for melee attacks once per turn (your attack reaches from the echo’s space)

  • Be used to switch places with you (costs your reaction)

This is similar to the Echo Knight subclass feature, but toned down for a racial ability.

🩸 Martyr’s Endurance (1/Long Rest)
