When in your canine form you are able to once a day (twice at level 5 three times at level 11 and four times at level 16) grow to a much larger size becoming a large creature for the next minute allowing you to hold things larger than a small size with your tentacles (now you are able to carry up to medium sized objects) your movement speed is increased by 15 feet your armor class is increased by 2 and you may advantage of con and strength saves.
