this species is based on the deep sea bunnies from the roblox game pressure, which i recommend playing. it's a good game.

The Deep Sea bunnies were initally discovered during the construction of The Hadal Blacksite. After a Tungvest diver had one cuddle up against him, he jokingly asked a senior researcher to "give one of them lungs" so that he could keep it as a pet. The researcher, seeing this as a challenge, experimented on a wild DSB instance until it was capable of living on land. After further requests for DSB pets from other employees, hundreds of DSBs underwent the same mutation experiment. They were then allocated to break rooms, living inside of a carpeted enclosure where personnel could freely interact with them. At the time, around 374 instances were being kept in the Blacksite.

a Deep Sea bunny, with exceptional intelligence for a normal DSB (Deep Sea Bunny) has found itself in a party with adventures as the group pet. the DSB has found itself to be far more useful to the team, as more than just a companion.

Basic traits

DSB's have a base speed of 25 feet, a base burrowing speed of 5 feet and a base swimming speed of 10 feet. DSB's are tiny, and your size is around the size of a house cat. you can understand but not speak common, since you are incapable of speak.

due to your species, you have disadvantage with all weapon attacks because you have no fingers to pick things up, and have to resort to carrying them awkwardly. also due to this, your carrying capacity is tiny, making you only be able to carry little without being encumbered by the shear weight on your small body. your small body makes you difficult to be seen, giving you advantage on stealth rolls

your small size makes you quite soft and vulnerable to attacks, making you vulnerable to piercing and bludgeoning
