Homebrew Astral Invader Species Details
This being stands short, perhaps no more than four feet tall, with a sleek, wiry frame wrapped in a smooth, segmented exosuit of deep violet. Its skin — or possibly bio-synthetic covering — is a rich purple hue, blending almost seamlessly with the armor. Its limbs are long and narrow, but not frail, giving the impression of dexterity over brute strength.
The most striking feature is its large, bulbous head, exaggerated and veined with ridges that converge near the crown — clearly an organ built for immense cognitive capacity. Two solid black, almond-shaped eyes dominate its face, completely opaque and emotionless, giving no hint of humanity or empathy. A toothy, unnerving grin stretches across its face, more mechanical than friendly.
Mounted on its back is a brass-colored apparatus with tubes and chambers — a power unit or some sort of alien life-support or propulsion device. Connected to this is a massive, cannon-like weapon clutched tightly in its three-fingered hands. The weapon hums faintly with a violet glow at the muzzle, suggesting advanced energy-based technology well beyond the world's current industrial revolution stage.
Though small, it stands with confidence — possibly arrogance — as if surveying the primitive world around it not with curiosity, but with clinical intent… or conquest.
Astral Invader Traits
Born in the cold void beyond the Astral Sea, Astral Invaders are engineered beings of ruthless intellect and unsettling purpose. Created to observe, infiltrate, and dominate, they are not native to this world — but they learn quickly. With minds honed for manipulation and technology unknown to even the greatest inventors of this realm, their very presence disrupts the natural order. Whether agents of a greater empire or lone operators gone rogue, they do not ask if a world should be ruled — only if it can be.Subjugator’s Insight
