Homebrew 🌘 Nokhiri Species Details
Origins:
The Nokhiri were born of a celestial catastrophe — a star-god’s fall from the Astral Sea. Their ancestors were fragments of divine will made flesh, scattered across the world. Today, they wander in small nomadic groups, each following their own version of the "Starpath" — an ancestral memory-journey passed through dreams.
Society:
Nokhiri don't build permanent cities. They live in ancient ruins, floating monoliths, or nomadic sky-caravans powered by magic. Knowledge is their greatest treasure — their songs often encode star maps, prophecy, and personal stories.
-
Seers & Weavers serve as sages, using dream-threads to predict events.
-
Wanderers travel far to collect memories and truths.
-
Echo-Keepers memorize the histories of fallen Nokhiri, passing them on.
Beliefs:
Nokhiri believe time is a spiral and life a reflection of celestial will. Dreams are considered echoes of one's "true" self in another life or plane. Many Nokhiri believe they will one day return to the stars — if they fulfill their “stellar thread.”
🌘 Nokhiri Traits
Their traits includeCelestial Echo
You have resistance to radiant damage and are proficient in the Arcana skill.
Oneiroform
You do not require sleep. Instead, you enter a meditative dream-state for 4 hours each night, during which you experience flashes of memories from other lives or distant stars. While meditating, you remain semi-conscious and are aware of your surroundings.
Voidstep
Once per long rest, as a bonus action, you can teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. When you arrive, faint starlight shimmers in your previous location. At 5th level, you can use this feature twice per long rest.
Starborn Eyes
You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

This is really good
This is great! But i feel the need to tell you this is remarkably similar to the Shadar-Kai mechanically, just swapping necrotic resistance for radiant.
