Homebrew Cursed Scales Species Details

One thing that is consistent between all of them is that their lower half is that of a snake while their upper torso is that of whatever species they were originally. On top of that, they commonly they will develop jaws that can unhinge and rows upon rows of dagger like teeth. Some cursed scales have been known to have large fangs that can inject toxic venom, as they wished to be the greatest fighters. They also have smaller clawed hands that can easily tear flesh or crave into wood. Their color is determined by that of the type of wish they were granted.

Cursed Scales commonly will have patterned along their tails and backs that dictate how much they have changed as a person since they asked for their wish, and will grow smaller and thinner if they reform, or become larger and more distorted if they remain the same.

Green- Skill/Knowledge: Pattern color: Gold or a Darker Green.

      Ability- They are given many sets of eyes all over their body, and a massive eye in their chest to be able to examine and understand any piece they view. +2 wisdom, +1 intelligence +3 passive perception and passive investigation, +2 Perception, +2 Insight, +2 Investigation, and cast Identify and Mending once per long rest. 

Red-Revenge/fighting: Pattern Color: Black or Orange

      Ability- They are very capable fighters and have impressive strength. +2 strength, +1 dexterity, +1 constitution, +2 athletics, +2 acrobatics, +3 intimidation, and a set of fangs: your unarmed strike modifier for the hit role, and it does; 2d12 piercing.

Pink/Purple- Love or Beauty, commonly Pink is for love while purple is for beauty but they can interchange or be mixed based upon the wish, Pattern Color: White or Light Blue.

      Ability- You have an alluring aura about you that makes all around you fall to your feet. +2 charisma, +2 dexterity, +3 persuasion, +3 deception, +2 sleight of hand, +2 performance, cast Charm Person and Disguise Self once per long rest, and Minor Illusion at will.

Sandy/Golden- Wealth: Pattern Color: Black or Worn White.

Black/Dark Purple- Resurrection/ Bring someone back from the dead. Patter Color: Bright Purple, Bright Red, or White

White- Those who wished to be the greatest mages, or have access to magic at all: Pattern Color: Blood Red or Lightning Blue

No Cursed Scales has ever been able to fully remove their pattern as many of them use the powers they do gain form the wish to stay relevant in society and fell that they have more of a purpose than the ugly form they have been given.

They are quite strong given their lower half and are not meant to be trifled with if coming across them. Cursed Scales have range when it comes to them. Either they see this new form as a message to reform themselves or they see it as a full blown curse and tear their lives apart due to their appearance. Either they open up to the world or shut it out. Though they are stuck with this form they are still granted a form of their wish. A well known blacksmith in the land known as a Raamscheel is a green cursed scale that uses the many eyes he was given on his arms to make fine adjustments to inlays and create very beautiful pieces.

Claw Swipe

You have a 5ft reach and get two swipes that you must make two attack rolls for each swipe. One claw swipe does 2(d4)+your str. modifier. 

Constrict

Grapple with d20 plus str modifier, and next turn you squeeze enemy for 2(d6) blud.
