Homebrew Callisto Species Details

The callisto are beings that glow pure liquefied stardust akin to the stars. They can vary in color some taking on the look of the night's sky, while others look like vibrant astral smoke contained in the shape of a person, then finally you have those that just glow one or two colors. Their marks are given form at birth although the callisto can change the shape of these marks to convey emotion, and often do emote as they speak. As they grow older the color becomes more unsaturated and less saturated with the exception of white Callisto. While callisto have no facial features aside from the marks either held on their bodies or faces. The expressions they make largely consist of white bubbles below their skin moving to certain places along with glowing pulses of light and emote's of their marks to indicate mood. When expressing intense emotion their light tends to linger as they move from one place to the next leaving light streams where they just were. They're humanoid and stand at roughly the same remote height as humans. They consist of a flesh-like translucent shell that contains a glow stick like substance. They constantly emit a soft vibration that can be felt if one places their hand upon them. Akin to a heartbeat, a deceased callisto no longer vibrates. Held together by the pure energy held within their cores. Their blood glowing the same color as their bodies evaporates when it leaves their bodies leaving a trail of light and what looks to be dust as it does so. The body drained of their neon blood is left a darkened lifeless color of what it once was. Warm to the touch but not hot enough to burn anything the callisto have an outer layer that keeps their energy in held together by the core in their chest and is considered their most vital organ if it sustains damage they may instantly die.
