Homebrew Corvus Maledictum Species Details

Befouling the ever-shifting winds of magic, the Corvus Maledictum are forever cursed. Often appearing as somewhat monstrous half human and half raven hybrids that can shift their form not unlike a Lycanthrope. They are extremely intelligent and cunning having previously been human, though are often shunned due to their monstrous appearance  preferring to keep to themselves.

Corvus Maledictum Traits

Corvus posses both humanoid and animal traits

Mimicry

Crovus can mimic any sound they’ve heard, like that of their raven counterparts. Make a Charisma (Deception) check against the passive Wisdom (Insight) of any listeners. Success indicates they believe the sound you created was real.

Flight

Corvus's feathered arms allow for 50ft of flight, as well as allowing them to slow their fall, and glide short distances. When falling they can use their reaction to spread their arms, stiffen their wing feathers, and slow their descent. While doing so, they continue to fall gently at a speed of 10 ft. per round, taking no fall damage when they land. They cannot glide while carrying heavy weapons or wielding a shield (though they may drop any held items as part of your reaction to spread your arms). They cannot glide while wearing heavy armour, or if encumbered.

Talons

Your damage for an unarmed strike is 1d4 piercing damage. Additionally, you have advantage on Strength (Athletics) checks made to climb any surface your talons could reasonably grip.

Sharp Mind

You learn one additional language, gain proficiency in a tool of your choice, and are able to accurately recall with perfect clarity, anything you have seen or heard within the past month.
