Homebrew Yiga Species Details

Hidden identities

The Yiga clan are footsoldiers (typically) covered in black latex and leather armor, dawning white masks with upside down sheikah symbols. Their actual race.. May be unknown? Many suspect them to be Hylians or Gerudo, but none know for sure. 

All hail Calamity Ganon!

The Yiga clan look forward to bringing Calamity Ganon back to destroy all of Hyrule. The reasons why is completely unknown. However, because of this they specifically have a vendetta against the Hylian royal family, making enemies of most other races. They have made attempt after attempt to assassinate the princess as well as those who may ally with them as champions. They serve one leader, but do not have the loyalty that other races have to their leaders. If they are against their leader they may go rogue.

Those goody-two shoes...

Due to the fact that they used to belong to the sheikah tribes (or most of them anyway), they usually battle with the sheikah tribes. They fight against each other typically by trying to get the jump on the other. As for the Gerudo, the Yiga clan live on the outskirts of the desert. Whether it is to expand their territory or to eliminate one of Hyrule's enemies, the Yiga clan typically fight against the Gerudo using underhanded tactics.

We're not mindless monsters!

They may serve Calamity Ganon, but.. Monsters are mindless! They fight reluctantly together, but Yiga tend to not depend on them. At times when monsters interfere with their plans they may even strike the monsters. The Yiga clan believe that have more stature and common sense than beasts.

You may have a proficiency bonus in either Intimidation, Performance, or Persuasion.

Simple Weapons

You have proficiency with Simple Weapons.

Banana Craving

Whenever you can see Mighty Banana, you must make a DC15 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, you must spend your movement and actions trying to eat the Mighty Banana until there are no Mighty Bananas left. Upon eating Mighty Banana you gain +2 Strength and advantage on all Strength Saving throws and Skill Checks that use Strength for the next hour.

Age

The Yiga reach maturity by 17 and typically live 120 years.

Alignment

The Yiga typically follow the Chaotic or Neutral alignments. They attack as a group, but their teamwork may not be the best.

Languages

Common, and Sheikah/Elvish.
