Homebrew Blobaton Species Details

Blobatons are a fish-like species that inhabit the bottom of oceans. They're pink skin visible is actually the result of the lack of pressure brought about by the surface world, and though it doesn't hurt the Blobaton's, it slurs speech and is quite irritating. Each Blobaton is extremely muscular and holds the face of a "Blob Fish," the Blobaton's closest relative. The largest Blobaton settlement is known as the BlobNation, and exists at the bottom of the ocean. It is a highly advanced city with Hyper Advanced Blob Technologies that allow them to flourish as a species. They are known to live for hundreds of years and have evolved to be the ideal lifeform. They have these fit frames mainly in the water, and they become flabbier and less fit while out of the water, getting more so as they become more dehydrated.

Darkvision

Blobatons have 120 ft. of Darkvision.

Luck of the Sea

Blobatons gain advantage with Saving Throws, Attack Rolls, and Checks made in the water.

Aquatic Reliance

Blobaton's consume twice as much water as the average creature, and gains disadvantage on all checks, saving throws, and attacks while "dehydrated," as well as becoming flabbier and less physically attractive.

Bulky Frame

A Blobatons carrying capacity is that of a large creature.

Blobatons are very familiar with the world around them, and thus have a deep understanding of languages. They know Common, Aquan (The Blobaton home language), and two other languages of your choice.
