Dogman Traits

Natural Tracking, Thick Fur, Twilight Bark, Man's Best Friend, Spiritual Awareness

Natural Tracking

Dogmen can detect and follow up to a 12 hour old track/trail even in conditions of rain, snow or storm, can hear up to 10 miles away, and have enhanced night vision.

They can make observations on the owner of a scent/sound and even surrounding scents/sounds with varying degrees of success depending on the age and skill level of the dog.

When given a sample of a scent, they can create a profile using smells from sweat vapor, skin, footprints and even breath. If they have scented a creature before, they have the ability to track that creature again, with stronger emotional bonds ensuring greater luck finding their prey.

This trait also makes it difficult to sneak up on Dogmen due to their higher perception.

Thick Fur

Dogmen have two layers of fur – an outer, waterproof coat of coarse hair and a soft undercoat that provides insulation.

The fur is hydrophobic and the thickness serves as padding against physical attacks, but also has a lulling effect on any creature that is enveloped in its tufts.

Twilight Bark

Dogmen can communicate with eachother over long distances by barking and howling. This can be effective for packs trying to locate eachother or to trap prey. Other species can learn to translate the calls, allowing messeges to the sent over long distances.

Man's Best Friend

The fluffiness and friendly demeanor of a dog causes others to lower their guards and makes them more likely to be swayed by acts of charisma.

Spiritual Awareness

Dogmen possess a heightened awareness/sensitivity to the paranormal, allowing such feats as being able to see or sense entities, such as spirits, ghosts, angels, and demons, and vampires, that are normally invisible to other creatures.
