Homebrew Blaides Species Details

Origin

They are giant wolfs that walk and talk like humans. They are a humanoid wolf just like the Aarakocra but a wolf instead of a bird. They were originally just like every other wolf but a specific group of wolves were captured and experimented on with magic which turned the wolves into humanoid like creatures. The humans made these wolves live like humans but were always being watched over them to make sure they didn't get out of control.

Eventually the original group grew, both in age and numbers. Not only that but they got smarter and eventually out did the humans. Some say that they slaughtered the humans and that's why humans are so scared of them. But others say that most of them just escaped and started a new life in another land. Most of them went into hiding in the mountains. Some were helped by Goliaths in a small village. And others scattered far through out the land. Some went back to the old ways of being a wolf. While the rest tried to fit in to the very cruel world that they were brought into.

Blaides share feats with each other but each one of them are unique

Goliaths have lifespans comparable to humans. They enter adulthood in their late teens and usually live less than a century.

Goliaths are between 7 and 8 feet tall and weigh between 280 and 340 pounds. Your size is Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Natural Athlete

You have proficiency in the Athletics skill.

Stone’s Endurance

You can focus yourself to occasionally shrug off injury. When you take damage, you can use your reaction to roll a d12. Add your Constitution modifier to the number rolled and reduce the damage by that total. After you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Powerful Build

You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.

Mountain Born

You have resistance to cold damage. You’re also acclimated to high altitude, including elevations above 20,000 feet.

You can speak, read, and write Common and Giant.
