The Opal Darastrix are among the oldest and rarest of the Darastrix—the draconic bloodlines of Dombriar. They are not children of flame, frost, or storm, but of celestial mischief, airbound wonder, and fractured divinity. Created in the immediate aftermath of the First Fracture—when the Endless Unknown wept and its sorrow cracked open the stillness of the void—their origin is wrapped in whimsy and contradiction.
When the Graimon was birthed in weeping stillness, its first exhale summoned the Karmatic Twins: Agyrtandusk, the radiant architect of order, and Aryxonauth, the dark and joyful entropy that danced behind his brother’s eyes. As their light and shadow met, it did not create fire or ash—it birthed color. And from that prism of contradiction came the first Opal Darastrix, laughing, weightless, and wild.
Unlike other dragonkin who were forged for war or wisdom, the Opal Darastrix were born curious. They raced comets across the stars. They played hide-and-seek in astral currents. Physical Description
Opal Darastrix are tall, androgynous, and ethereal in their beauty. Their skin holds an opaline shimmer, like sunlight through crystal mist, and their scales (visible along the spine, shoulders, limbs, or collarbones) refract light in ever-shifting hues—lilac, moonstone, soft green, and gold.

Languages.
You can speak, read, and write Common, Draconic, and Avarial (a poetic dialect of Elvish unique to the Avian Isles). Avarial is a melodic language rich in metaphor, often using wind, birds, and sky-bound imagery to express ideas.
Celestial Grace
You gain proficiency in your choice of Insight, Performance, or Deception. In addition, you may add half your proficiency bonus (rounded down) to any Charisma (Persuasion) or Wisdom (Perception) check you’re not already proficient in.
Draconic Mind
You gain proficiency in either Arcana or History. You also have advantage on saving throws against being charmed.
Whimsy’s Touch
You know the Minor Illusion cantrip. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for it.
Veilstep
You gain resistance to radiant and necrotic damage. When you take damage of this type, you can use your reaction to gain advantage on the next Dexterity saving throw you make before the end of your next turn. You can use this reaction a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses on a long rest.
Born of the Sky
You have advantage on saving throws against effects caused by strong winds, high altitudes, or falling. You also take no damage from falls up to 20 feet as long as you’re not incapacitated.
Wings of the Veiled Sky
At 3rd level, you can summon semi-physical wings of iridescent mist and light as a bonus action. These wings grant you a flying speed of 30 feet for 1 minute. Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.
At 10th level, your flying speed increases to 60 feet, and the wings last for 10 minutes.
Breath of Twinned Light
Once per long rest, you may exhale a line of elemental energy in a 30-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Creatures in that line must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your Charisma modifier + your proficiency bonus).

On a failed save, they take 2d8 radiant or necrotic damage (chosen when you use the breath).

On a successful save, they take half as much.
This damage increases at 5th level (3d8), 11th level (4d8), and 17th level (5d8).
Cloudstep Trickster
At 3rd level, you can cast Feather Fall once per long rest. At 5th level, you can cast Mirror Image once per long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
Echo of Endless Unknown
At 5th level, you can cast Detect Thoughts once per long rest. When you reach 9th level, you may cast Legend Lore once per long rest, but only when in contact with an artifact, place, or entity of cosmic or historical significance. The visions are metaphorical, abstract, or unsettling—like dreams from a dead god.
Sky Dancer’s Flow
While you are not wearing heavy armor, opportunity attacks against you are made with disadvantage. Additionally, when you move at least 10 feet during your turn, you can choose to hover 1 foot off the ground, ignoring nonmagical difficult terrain until the start of your next turn.
Laughing Soul
You have advantage on saving throws against fear effects. When you succeed a save against being frightened or charmed, you can let out a musical laugh or whistle as a free action. The next ally within 10 feet of you to make a saving throw against the same effect before the end of their next turn may roll with advantage as well. Usable once per long rest.
Trickster’s Flicker
At 7th level, you may cast Misty Step once per long rest. When you use this feature, you leave behind a faint illusionary afterimage that lasts 1 round and can distract attackers. The next attack against you before the start of your next turn is made with disadvantage.
Starwoven Memory
You may reroll a failed Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma skill check once per long rest. You must use the new roll. When you do, you experience a brief flash of a forgotten cosmic memory—often symbolic or poetic.
