Homebrew Altered Human [Isekai idea for a species.] Species Details
Found throughout the multiverse, humans are as varied as they are numerous, however, when transported across it, they gain some liberties over the realms. But they still endeavor to achieve as much as they can in the years they are given. Their ambition and resourcefulness are commended, respected, and feared on many worlds.
Humans are as diverse in appearance as the people of Earth, and they have many gods. Scholars dispute the origin of humanity, but one of the earliest known human gatherings is said to have occurred in Sigil, the torus-shaped city at the center of the multiverse and the place where the Common language was born. From there, humans could have spread to every part of the multiverse, bringing the City of Doors’ cosmopolitanism with them. However, you do not know of this, as your humans first gathered in the real world and you have otherworldly knowledge, able to confuse people of the one you currently are in.
Altered Human Traits
Creature Type: Humanoid
Size: Medium (about 5–7 feet tall)
Speed: 35 walking, climbing and swimming. (If the option "Feathered Body" is taken, 35ft of flying speed is also applicable.)
Adapted Body
Your body is altered to match the world around you after you enter it - if the world is filled with gods and magic yet lacks in something that you need to live (medicine, implants etc) then your body changes to no longer rely on them. If your new body starts in the hills, it will look like a giants, almost mistakable for a goliath, if you are born under the sea, you will have gills, if you are born in a woodland Aaracockra city, you will have feathers that warm you and allow you to fly. The possibilities rely on your DM, but for the campaign this was originally on, there will be the three options above available.
Otherworldly Knowledge
At the 5th level, you can cast the spell Confusion without using any spell slots.
Versatile
You gain an Origin feat of your choice.
