Homebrew Archeon Species Details

The Archeon are a proud and honorable people Although physically similiar in appearance to the Bombardier, the Archeon differ from their more magically inclined cousins in two main ways. Being that of size, the average Archeon towering over many races, and their horns being large and varied. the Archeon live very nomadic and free lives, existing in several smaller familial clans. their clothing while varying from clan to clan, is very open and loose, helping facilitate the way in which they live.

while there are stereotypes amongst the other peoples of this world of Archeon being savage, wild, and dirty people, they are actually quite the opposite, being extremely clean, and well maintained, especially their horns which are a sign of pride of the Archeon, often decorated and carved with intricate patterns and jewellery. The physical strength and might of Archeons is a sight to behold, especially during the Moving Mountain festival, in which each clans chooses a single champion to compete to earn the title of Mountain Tamer. This title comes with many benefits for the both holder of said title and their clan, ncluding fame, reputation and first call on some of the most fertile land for the beginning of the new cycle.

As an Archeon, you have the following traits

Horned Heritage

Your large, ornate horns are more than symbolic—they’re natural weapons. You can use your horns to make an [Tooltip Not Found] . If you hit with them, you deal bludgeoning damage equal 1d6 + your strength modifier to  instead of the normal unarmed strike damage.

Clean and Honored

You take meticulous care of your appearance, especially your horns. You have advantage on Charisma (Persuasion) checks made to impress or gain respect from individuals who value tradition, honor, or appearance—including members of your own people and those who revere strength.

Powerful Build

You have Advantage on any ability check you make to end the Grappled condition. You also count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity.

Dark Vision

You have Darkvision with a range of 60 feet.

Festival of the Moving Mountain

Once per long rest, as a bonus action, you can call upon your clan pride and festival spirit. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:

  • Advantage on Strength checks and saving throws

  • Your horn damage increases to 1d8 instead of 1d6

  • If you reduce a creature to 0 HP with a melee attack, you may immediately move up to half your movement without provoking opportunity attacks

You can end this effect early as a free action on your turn.

Clan-Bound Nomad

Your people are used to long journeys and changing terrain. You’re proficient in one of the following tools or languages of your choice, representing your clan’s traditions:
Tools: Woodcarver’s tools, Leatherworker’s tools, or Jeweler’s tools
Languages: Choose one from: Giant, Primordial, or Sylvan

Language

You can speak, read, and write Common and Arch, a dialect rich with poetic proverbs, clan idioms, and horn-sign symbols.
