Homebrew WarteHoog Species Details
Wartehoogs are a pleasantly plump, adorable people with thick hides, stocky builds, and lovely tusks. Wartehoogs come from the demon lord Yeenoghu, having come about similar to the Gnolls, but came out much differently. During the time of the demon lord, packs of ordinary warthogs would consume the dead left in his wake, giving rise to the first Wartehoogs. Unlike their Gnoll brethren, they didn't follow the demon lord, their instincts as hogs making them much more preferable for long naps in the mud, and scavenging for truffles.
Many humanoids find Wartehoogs to be filthy, and rude, but the truth is that their cultural norms are blunt honesty, and their life style in hot environments has given them a preference for mud baths, leading to a higher tolerance for dirt, and grime.
Wartehoogs are typically mild mannered and take the slow and easy route of life, though when provoked they can become quite dangerous, using their deadly tusks to gore anyone unlucky enough to tick them off.
