A displacer beast is a large, six-legged, panther-like creature with two long, black, tentacled tentacles sprouting from its shoulders, ending in razor-sharp horny plates. Their name derived from their ability to displace light, making it appear to be standing a few feet from its actual location, a phenomenon that can disorient and confuse its prey and attackers.
