Homebrew Dhampyr - House Defect Species Details

To become a vampire is to be remade — body, soul, and hunger alike. But not all who are bitten cross the veil completely. Some resist, others are interrupted, and a rare few are rejected by the blood itself. These unfulfilled transformations birth the Dhampyr, known in hushed tones among the Crimson Court as Halfkin Defects.

Though born from the blood of vampires, Dhampyrs are fundamentally incomplete. They retain their heartbeat, their mortal hungers, and in many cases, their souls. Yet they are forever changed — shadows of their sires, echoing the traits of the vampiric house that failed to consume them. Whether turned by the lunar witches of House Lacourtia, the brutal Ashe blood of House Cindergloom, or the dread rites of House Elderfiend, each Dhampyr carries marks of its origin, warped and dulled like a blade that never finished forging
