Homebrew Aetherian Species Details

The Aetherians are a winged people born of radiant blood and ancient magic, their society suspended among the floating isles of the Aether. Bound by a rigid hierarchy, they are divided into the Silver Clan—the elite custodians of perfection; the Bronze Clan—the content but stifled artisans; and the Gold Clan—the tireless laborers beneath the shining utopia.
Every Aetherian’s blood shimmers faintly with light, a trait that both fuels their magic and wards off creatures of darkness. Their wings differ by lineage—angelic for the Silvers, ethereal for the Bronzes, and raptor-like for the Golds—yet each is a symbol of their shared heritage. Outsiders see them as otherworldly, graceful, and united, but the truth of their class divisions is written in their very veins.

Aetherian Traits

All Aetherians share certain physical and magical qualities regardless of clan: Radiant Blood courses through their veins, protecting them from dark influence and harming those who would consume it. A deep cultural training shapes every Aetherian, granting them skill in diplomacy, insight, or arcane study. They are naturally attuned to light, able to conjure a gentle glow at will. These traits form the core of their identity, upon which each clan’s unique abilities are built.
