Homebrew Blood Elf (fixed 2.0) Species Details
Blood Elfs, Long ago a sect of High elves could not use magic. This lead them to preform a ritual, The Ritual of Blood they bound themselves with this blood magic to a cellular level their skin darkened to a golden carmel brown color, and tattoos like ribbons representing this new power formed on their skin. Their first king's tattoo were golden representing his leadership as the golden tattoos represents The Right of Kinship and can only occurs if a blood elf has 2 things, one being born of a previous blood elf with golden tattoos, and the second possessing a quality that can make them a king. All the other blood elves who couldn't use magic or could use very little magic were given blue tattoos. Later as generations passed and blood elves who could use normal magic were born these were born with red tattoos.

Your elf character has a variety of natural abilities, the result of thousands of years of elven refinement.Blood Magic
The third blood elf displays control over their blood. They may utilize blood that is present to create simple weapons. They each deal standard damage compared to a normal simple weapon

Blood elves are proficient in 1 of the following; History, Insight, or Acrobatics
Blood Defense
While you are wearing no armor, your AC equals 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Charisma modifier
Bloody Experience
The blood elf can consume a Vial of Blood, or blood that is present on the field, to create martial melee weapons, they do standard damage compared to their standard counterparts. Blood Elves are now proficient with their blood weapons
Curse of Blood
Once per long rest you may invoke the Curse of Blood as a bonus action
- Upon activation you gain 1d10 healing
- When attacking with blood weapons you get advantage
- At the end of your turn make a Wisdom saving throw DC 10 at the end of your turn.
- On a success nothing happens
- On a failure you lose control to the curse and will attack all nearby creatures until the curse ends
- While below Lvl 10 each time the user takes damage while the curse is active DC is increased by 1
Ability Score Increase
Your Charisma score increases by 2 and dexterity by 1
Age
Although elves reach physical maturity at about the same age as humans, the elven understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. An elf typically claims adulthood and an adult name around the age of 45 and can live to be 320 years old.
Size
Blood elves generally range from 5 and 1/2 Feet in stature to about 7 and 1/2
Speed
Your base walking speed is 40 feet.
Darkvision
Accustomed to twilit forests and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Keen Senses
You have proficiency in the Perception skill.
Fey Ancestry
You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can’t put you to sleep.
Trance
Elves don’t need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. (The Common word for such meditation is “trance.”) While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common and Elvish and one other language of your choice. Elvish is fluid, with subtle intonations and intricate grammar. Elven literature is rich and varied, and their songs and poems are famous among other races. Many bards learn their language so they can add Elvish ballads to their repertoires.
