Homebrew Celestibloods Species Details
Children of Light and Shadow
“The gods argue in the heavens. The devils whisper in the pit. But within me, both sing.”
— Seraphine Duskwane, Celestiblood poet
Ancestry
Celestibloods are born of impossible unions—an aasimar’s radiant bloodline tangled with infernal corruption, or a celestial’s spark kindled in a tiefling’s soul. They often inherit mismatched features—eyes of different hues, one glowing faintly with divine light, the other burning with fiendish ember. This duality makes them living paradoxes: reviled, admired, or feared wherever they go.
Creating Your Character

Features
🌟 Dual Soul
When you make a saving throw, you can call on either your celestial or fiendish half.
-
Once per long rest, you may reroll a failed saving throw.
-
If you call on your celestial side, you gain temporary hit points equal to your proficiency bonus.
-
If you call on your fiendish side, you deal radiant or necrotic damage (your choice) equal to your proficiency bonus to a creature within 10 feet of you.
🔥 Radiance & Ruin
When you deal radiant or necrotic damage with a spell or ability, you can choose to lace it with your dual heritage.
-
If the damage is radiant, you can add your Charisma modifier to the total damage.
-
If the damage is necrotic, you can reduce the target’s speed by 10 feet until the end of your next turn.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
👁️ Eyes of Dissonance
Your mismatched gaze reflects your lineage. You gain darkvision out to 60 feet.
In addition, you can cast Thaumaturgy or Light (your choice) at will.
At 3rd level, you can cast Bless (celestial aspect) or Bane (fiendish aspect) once per long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
⚖️ Inner Conflict
You are always torn between two natures. When you finish a long rest, choose which side has sway over you that day:
-
Celestial Aspect: Advantage on Insight and Persuasion checks.
-
Fiendish Aspect: Advantage on Intimidation and Deception checks.
Appearance
Celestibloods often have heterochromia (two different colored eyes, sometimes glowing faintly), strange markings that look like angelic runes or infernal script, and a subtle aura—warm and comforting to some, unsettling to others.
