Homebrew Auratus (Hamster) Species Details
Small, agile, vocal and round. The defining traits of the Auratus. Though a meek race they are boisterous, sometimes to a fault. Commonly found to be in a servitude class, whether as pets or as a butler, typically they serve as gimmick to most of the common species. This has not ,however, stopped the Auratus from taking seats of office or becoming brave warriors on the fields of combat. Most however prefer the simple life inside their burrows raising their families and grazing on irate farmers crops.

Being a primarily Nocturnal creature you have the ability to see quite well in the dark. You have Darkvision up to 60 ft in poor or dimly lit conditions. You also have a +1 to CHA and Advantage on CHA checks

Auratus have always excelled at burrowing to escape tense situations. As such, you have a burrow speed equivalent to your walking speed. This only applies to soft and medium substrates (DM discretion).
Hyper Fang
Auratus are known for their pronounced front incisors. As a result you have the ability to to take an action to make a bite attack. It acts as an unarmed attack but the damage die is replaced with a d6. This attack can be made while restrained as long as the players mandible is able to move.
High Speed Squeaks
Logically it doesn't make sense for any creature to scream their head off and run faster as a result. It just works out for the Auratus. Players choosing this species gain +1 to their DEX and have advantage on all DEX saving throws
