Homebrew Western Species Details
A species of armless, and legless beings. They are known for their true white skin, extremely small heights, and adorableness. Surprisingly, their DNA is closest to humans. They have a strange ability, where their hands are able to enter a pocket dimension that every Western has. And when out of said pocket dimension, their hands can reach for long distances, as they are not restricted by arm length. They maneuver by either hopping around, or by literally sliding across the area.
Western Traits
Small, limbless, human(?)Pocket Dimension
Westerns have a pocket dimension, where they are able to summon their hands. But they can also fill this dimension with many many objects. It is endless, and does not apply weight to the western (if encumbrance is on).
Abnormal Hands
The western is able to access their own pocket dimension, where their hands reside. They can summon their hands from the pocket dimension, which does not take an action.
Due to having no arms to link their hands to their body, they’re able to extend it to far lengths from, 3-20 feet.
If the hands are damaged, they can be sent back to the dimension, where they will recover faster.
Legless maneuvering
Due to having no legs, the Western makes up for it by having to standard ways of movement.
The first is hopping around places, which can get them 1 ft per hop.
Next is sliding, which is faster. The western’s bottom seems to deny friction, and therefore allows to slide across spaces, without the buildup acceleration to top speed. This can get them from 5-10 ft.
Human-like attributes
Due to their DNA sharing the exact same sequences as human beings, westerns share few of their traits with humans. Such as their resilience and mind.
Choose one ability score to increase by 2, and one ability score to increase by 1.
Leafhead Western
30% of westerns are born with a strange little plant like being, that the people of Fiddle call a Leaf. These Leafs give their host a myriad of strange abilities, that are surprisingly not magical. These Leafs act as the western’s main companion, but Non-Leafheads are unable to hear the leaf, as it speaks on a frequency only Leafheads can hear.
The Leaf
The Leaf, a small plant-like entity that sprouts on a western’s head when they are 6 years of age (usually). This leaf gives the western a variety of different abilities.
