Homebrew Disassembly Drone Species Details

"You will not have to discard your pets, and I will not discard you. Best stay away from the gala, though."

—Cyn, Elliot Manor

Disassembly Drones, though commonly referred to as Murder Drones are vicious robots that were once Worker Drones until they were converted into new vampiric forms by the self-rebooted Zombie Drone named Cyn, using the powers granted to her by the mysterious, eldritch program known as the Absolute Solver.  (Information sourced from Murder Drones Wiki)

Living Flesh and Steel

Disassembly Drones are physically similar to Worker Drones, having a white coloration with a black screen on the top half of their face, a black waist, and hands with four fingers. However, Disassembly Drones are half a head taller than them and have white arms with wider forearms that end with yellow and black stripes. On their head is a black headband with five round yellow lights which contains Nanite Acid. In their mouth is a dark gray tongue and retractable fangs. All Disassembly Drones also sport a long black tail that ends in a large syringe, also containing the acid.

Males have feet that end on yellow and black stripes, giving the appearance of soles/heels, while the females' shins are tapered to a point. Females also have curvy torsos and black markings on their legs, giving the appearance of stockings. The markings also come with yellow and black hazard stripes. Unlike Worker Drones, Disassembly Drones have hair regardless of their gender. Their hair is silver while their eyes are neon yellow, akin to that of Cyn's.  (Information completely sourced  from Murder Drones Wiki)

Although they were manufactured, Disassembly Drones are living humanoids. Resting, healing magic, and the Medicine skill all provide the same benefits to Disassembly Drones that they do to other humanoids.

Thirst

Due to the energy exerted by Disassembly Drones they overheat easily, requiring them to cool down either by conventional methods... or unconventional ones.

While many Disassembly Drones thirst for blood, your character might otherwise gain sustenance from the living. Roll on or choose an option from the Disassembly Drones Thirsts table to determine what tempts your character to feed.

Disassembly Drone Names

Disassembly Drones were assigned numerical designations for their names, beginning with "Serial Designation..." followed by a letter of the Alphabet

Disassembly Drones Names: Serial Designation J, Serial Designation N, Serial Designation V

Disassembly Drone Traits

Your Disassembly Drone character has the following traits. A few of the traits give you a choice; consider how your choice reflects the purpose for which your character was built.

Ability Score Increase

Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and one other ability score of your choice increases by 1.

Age

A typical warforged is between two and thirty years old. The maximum warforged lifespan remains a mystery; so far, warforged have shown no signs of deterioration due to age. You are immune to magical aging effects.

Alignment

Being completely sentient, Disassembly Drones can be any Alignment.  Anywhere between murderous psychopath to golden retriver

Size

Your size is Medium. To set your height and weight randomly, start with rolling a size modifier:

Size modifier = 2d6

Height = 5 feet + 10 inches + your size modifier in inches

Weight in pounds = 270 + (4 × your size modifier)

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Constructed Resilience

You were created to have remarkable fortitude, represented by the following benefits:

  • You have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and you have resistance to poison damage.
  • You don’t need to eat, drink, or breathe.
  • You are immune to disease.
  • You don’t need to sleep, and magic can’t put you to sleep.

Sentry’s Rest

When you take a long rest, you must spend at least six hours in an inactive, motionless state, rather than sleeping. In this state, you appear inert, but it doesn’t render you unconscious, and you can see and hear as normal.

Nanite Acid Tail

Your acidic tail is a natural weapon, which counts as a simple melee weapon with which you are proficient. You add your Dexterity modifier to the attack and damage rolls when you attack with this stab. It deals 1d6 piercing and acid damage on a hit.

Reassembly Required

As a Bonus Action, you can expend one of your Hit Point Dice, roll the die, and regain a number of Hit Points equal to the number rolled plus your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1 Hit Point). If you take Fire damage, this trait doesn't function until the end of your next turn.

Overheating

Due to your design flaws, your body cannot handle extreme heat.  As such you have vulnerability to fire damage.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common
