Homebrew Bloodforged Species Details
The warforged were created of war, by war, for war. They know nothing but carnage and have only known violence since their manufacturing. Freed, they wander the lands, searching for purpose. Little do some know that their purpose was always war.
Bloodforged Traits
BloodthiefBloodthief
After an encounter, if a Bloodforged has any containers, it may use it to take blood from a body that still has blood. This consumable blood does nd8 healing, with n being how many pints of blood you use. A body can give a maximum of 2 pints and a minimum of 0.5 pints if it still has blood. It takes an action to take a pint of blood, and a bonus action to use it.
Mechanical Mods
As a Bloodforged, you gain more or less on your stat modifiers. They are as follows:
Piston Muscles: Your strength is greater than an average person. +2 to Strength.
Lightfoot: The bloodforged were made to be efficient. They are small, light, and dexterous. +1 to Dexterity.
Conscienceless: The bloodforged were created with war in mind. They are smart, calculated, but not wise. -1 to Wisdom.
Bloodied Hands: The bloodforged are stained with the blood of soldiers long dead. This will intimidate most people who aren't used to seeing it, such as rogues. +3 on Intimidation rolls. However, while the blood-stained bodies are intimidating, they don't exactly scream "I just want to talk." -3 on persuasion rolls.
Unarmored
As a Bloodforged, armor does not go very well with the dexterity aspect. It would restrict the movement of your mechanical joints, and that would drastically lower dexterity. The Bloodforged cannot wear armor. It is also for your honor, as wearing armor implies that you do not have the skill to keep the enemies from hitting you.
