Homebrew Cursed to be a Goose Species Details

Whether through curse, divine prank, or sheer bad luck, you have taken on the form of a goose. Fierce, territorial, and surprisingly hardy, geese are excellent swimmers, long-distance flyers, and relentless defenders of their flocks. Though comical to some, your honking presence is anything but harmless.

As a seemingly normal goose, you have certain traits in common with people and with geese.

Aggressive Honk

As a Bonus Action, you can let out a loud, terrifying honk. Each creature of your choice within 10 feet of you that can hear you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or become frightened of you until the start of your next turn. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Beak

Your beak is a natural weapon. You can use it to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with it, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength or Dexterity modifier.

Wing Buffet

When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can replace one of your attacks with a wing strike that deals 1d4 + your Strength modifier bludgeoning damage.

Aquatic Adaptation

You can hold your breath for up to 30 minutes, and you have advantage on Strength (Athletics) checks made to swim.

Flight

You have a flying speed of 40 feet. You cannot fly while wearing medium or heavy armor.

Migration Sense

You always know which way is north, and you have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks made to navigate, forage, or avoid becoming lost.

Flock Guardian

You have proficiency in the Perception skill.
