Homebrew Axolotlfolk Species Details

Axolotlfolk are very rare in the lands of Valley, as their homeland is in the deep sea far beyond the Brambles. But some Axolotlfolk do travel to Valley from the marshlands via the Long River. Axolotlfolk appear quite exotic to other animalfolk species, with blue or white skin and brightly colored frills.

The planeswalker Kiora is a merfolk from the plane of Zendikar. On Theros, many merfolk believed her to be the avatar of the sea goddess Thassa. While the extent of Kiora's influence on Bloomburrow is unknown, some Axoltlfolk may follow her philosophy of reverence for the larger creatures of the sea.

You can breathe air and water.

Darkvision

You have Darkvision with a range of 120 feet

Keen Senses

You have proficiency in the Insight, Perception, or Survival skill (+2 WIS)

Regeneration

As a Bonus Action, you can spend one Hit Point Die to regain Hit Points. Roll the die and add your Constitution modifier to it. You regain Hit Points equal to the total (minimum of 1 Hit Point). This trait closes wounds and restores any missing body parts

Swimming

You have a Swim Speed equal to your Speed.
