Homebrew Zora (Fate of the Unchosen) Species Details

The Zora are an aquatic, fish-like humanoid race that live in the waters of Hyrule and are known as guardians of the water. Zora who live in the oceans, lakes, or within the Kingdom of Zora's domain belong to a strong, wise, and peaceful society with a rich history of friendship with Hyrule's royal family. Meanwhile, Zora who dwell in rivers and swamps form a more secluded, warrior-driven society that is fiercely protective and somewhat barbaric in guarding their waters.

  • Appearance: They are most often tall and thin, with fins on their arms and legs and a tail-like fin on their heads. Their skin is covered in scales and varies in color.
  • Society: Zora society is a monarchy governed by a king or queen. Most members have a deep sense of duty and history, which they document on stone tablets
  • age:  Zora mature slowly reaching full maturity at age 50 but can live for several centuries
  • Languages: You can speak, read, and write Common and Zora.

 

 

 

 

Zora (Fate of the Unchosen) Traits

Abilities: Thanks to gills and webbed feet, they are exceptionally skilled swimmers and can breathe underwater. Some Zora can even swim up waterfalls

Amphibious

 You can breathe both air and water.

Zora Training

  • Zora Training: You have proficiency with spears, tridents, Glaives, and nets.

Ability Score Increase

Increase your Dexterity or Wisdom score by 2.

Marine supremacy

  • Your aquatic form makes you especially suited to certain activities underwater. you gain the following
  •  Swimming does not count as difficult terrain for you. You can even move against strong currents and up waterfalls with your swim speed.
  • You have advantage on Dexterity and Strength checks while Submerged in water
  • You can use Dash Disengage and Dodge as bonus actions while submerged in water
  • You can Jump from the surface of water as if it were solid land

 

Bite

As an action you may use bite as an attack and deal to your enemy a D6 of damage on a Hit

Darkvision

  • Darkvision: Accustomed to deep waters, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Mipha's Grace

Once a character in your party is Reduced to 0HP You may use a reaction to cast Mifa's grace as a revivify spell Once per long

You tap into an ancient ability given to you by Legendary Zora of the past to give the ones they deem worthy a second chance at life (Characters are deemed worthy at the DM's discretion)
