Created from the evil lurking in the night Ancient Vampires manifest either from the sins of others or by being turned by other powerful vampires.

Ancient Vampire Traits

Flight, Bat Wings, Regeneration, Spider Climb, Sunlight Sensitivity, Undead Nature, Bite, Languages.

Creature Type

Your creature type is considered undead. You do not require food, drink, or air. You only need at least 4 hours of sleep to feel rested.

Ability Score Increase

Your Dexterity, Constitution, and Charisma all are increased by 1.

Age

Ancient Vampires are ageless beings. You are immune to aging effects. The appearance of the vampire is different based on how it became one. Natural born vampires appear from ages 20-30. Turned vampires appear the age they were turned.

Alignment

These vampires can be of any alignment other than lawful or good alignments as killing for blood is in their nature.

Size

Ancient Vampires height varies greatly, but will generally be between 2 to 6 feet. They have thin, lightweight bodies that weigh between 80 and 150 pounds. Your size is Small or Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Bat Wings

You have a flying speed of 30 while your wings are out. Creating or dismissing them requires a bonus action. You cannot wear medium or heavy armor while your wings are out.

Darkvision

You can see in dim light within 120 feet of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray.

Regeneration

You regain 20 hit points at the start of each of your turns if you have at least 1 hit point and are not in sunlight or running water. If you take radiant damage or damage from holy water, this trait doesn’t function on your next turn.

Spider Climb

You can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.

Sunlight Sensitivity

As an Ancient Vampire you are less restricted than other vampires, however you have not completely overcome the sun. While in sunlight, you have disadvantage on attack rolls, as well as on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.

Bite

As a bonus action, you may perform a Bite attack. This attack is considered as a natural weapon. If you hit with it, you deal 2d6 + your strength modifier piercing damage and the creature must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw, taking 3d6 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. A humanoid slain in this way and then buried in the ground rises the following night as a vampire spawn under your control.

Languages

You know Common and two other languages of your choice.
