Short, Stubborn, and Tenacious

Burrowhounds are a small but fierce Dogfolk lineage descended from hunters bred to chase prey into tunnels and dens. Their long bodies and short legs make them well-suited for navigating tight spaces, and their famously stubborn nature makes them unstoppable once they set their minds to something. To a Burrowhound, size is no barrier to courage.

Burrowhounds are renowned for their stubborn bravery—never backing down from threats larger than themselves.

 

They tend to be practical and blunt, though often playful and surprisingly good-humored.

 

Culturally, many Burrowhounds become miners, tunnel scouts, or treasure hunters, but they also excel as burglars, rogues, and clever warriors.

You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks related to vibrations or sounds made underground or behind walls. Tunnel Hunter. You have advantage on attack rolls against creatures larger than you if they are within 5 feet of you and in a narrow space (like tunnels, corridors, or caves less than 10 feet wide). Stubborn Resilience. Once per long rest, when you fail a Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution saving throw, you may reroll it. You must use the new result. Compact Build. You can move through the space of any creature larger than you, though it is considered difficult terrain.
