Homebrew Alethi Species Details

The Alethi are a powerful and warlike people hailing from the nation of Alethkar on the world of Roshar. Known for their militaristic culture, strict social hierarchy, and emphasis on honor and strength.  Alethi are typically tall and lean, with tan or dark brown skin, epicanthic folds on their eyes, and black hair—traits that distinguish them from other peoples of Roshar. Eye color holds particular social significance: light eyes ("lighteyes") denote nobility and high status, while dark eyes ("darkeyes") belong to the lower social classes.  Alethi society is deeply stratified and governed by a rigid class system, with the lighteyes forming the aristocracy. This division is reinforced by both social norms and religious beliefs. Honor and the Codes—ancient moral and military guidelines—are central to the Alethi worldview, especially among the nobility. War is a key part of Alethi identity. Military prowess is revered, and highlords gain status through battlefield victories. Their obsession with war and glory often leads to prolonged, ritualized conflicts. 

 

Alethi Traits

The Thrill is an intense, almost euphoric sensation of joy, excitement, and bloodlust that overtakes Alethi during battle. It drives warriors to seek combat, relish violence, and feel an almost addictive pleasure in killing. It dulls fear, heightens aggression, and can make even brutal slaughter feel righteous or exhilarating.

Once your drop below half your HP you enter the thrill state this lasts for one minute or until your knocked unconscious, during this state you're immune to fear, being knocked prone, your movement speed is increased by 10 ft and you gain resistance to the last three damage types that harmed you, after the the one minute is up you gain 1 level of exhaustion.
