Homebrew Capritus Species Details
Origins: Hailing from the mountains, they once were a smaller group of minotaurs. It took the stars aligning upon those mountains to tap the primordial earthen magic that within the stone. This changed many into what would be known as the Capritus, as well as giving them the abilities to empower their form or even change appearance. As time passed, the Capritus species thrived in societies, becoming known as the "Goats of stone", being accepted as warriors or infiltrators in many wars.
Society: They thrive under a hierarchy, where the strongest has the most authority while the weak must serve the strong. Many of the weak will serve in tasks such as cooking, making clothing, or caring for the young. Meanwhile the strong will serve as builders, warriors, and even blacksmiths. To earn your place in the ranks higher than what you have, you must win a sparring match against a capritus in a rank higher in the hierarchy than you, which you take their rank.
Appearance: Due to the abilities given to them through the earthen magic in them, they can change their form to disguise amongst humans or appear less/more intimidating. However, their natural form consists of a humanoid goat, with fur colors such as brown, grey, white, and black. They possess hooved legs, horns, and a goatlike head and eyes. Most will have visible muscle structure slightly apparent under their fur. They have humanoid-like hands to better handle weaponry.
