Homebrew Athasian Tabaxi Species Details

On Athas, the short-statured tabaxi roam the deserts. These tabaxi are somewhat different from other tabaxi in the multiverse in a few ways. In addition to always being small, they most commonly have sandy fur with a few black stripes, though other fur colors also exist.

Culture

Athasian tabaxi traditionally live in clans that usually range from five to twenty adults. These clans are lead by an older female tabaxi who is often a powerful psionicist. The clans live nomadic hunter lifestyles and tend to avoid contact with other sapient species, though the occasional free tabaxi can be found in the city-states, usually a bold youth or an adventurer.

Names

Athasian tabaxi follow the traditional tabaxi naming convention, typically drawing from nature, actions, ideas, and more. A name is given at birth by the mother.
