Homebrew Draconir Species Details
This Homebrew Race was created for the setting of the Homebrew Campaign "Chronicles of Zanteros" created by BlaXtarAscent. Any names resembling real-world personalities are pure coincidence.
The better Dragonborn, born from the lingering remains of dragon magic merging with pure draconic ancendance. Contrary to dragonborns, who have Bahamut and Tiamat to thank for their birth, it was an entirely different being, a demi-goddess by the name of Ardianys, that brought the ancient draconic ancestry from the confines of time and combining it with the ancient might of dragons. Where dragonborns have lost their pride and thus their traits, Draconirs have not. They are potent magical beings whose existence, even if once ruled over by dragons as well as the Dragonborn, were prideful in their own right. But history thought good of forgetting about them, sealing them away in hopes that their power would not be of concern again.
"They have tried to forgot our existence. I am the living proof of our destiny restored!"
- Ardianys, Queen of Shimmering Scales
Draconirs look like bipedal dragons— scaly, bright-eyed, and thick-boned with horns on their heads—and their coloration and other features are reminiscent of their draconic ancestors. All of them have membranous wings and long tails.

Breath Weapon
When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can replace one of your attacks with an exhalation of magical energy that arcs to a point you can see within 30 feet. As it lands, each creature in a 5-foot wide area must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 10 plus your Constitution modifier and Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, a creature takes 2d6 damage determined by your Draconic Ancestry trait. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage. This damage increases by 2d6 when you reach character levels 5 (4d6), 11 (6d6), and 17 (8d6). The range increases when you reach character level 5 (45 feet) and character level 11 (60 feet).
The number of targets increases when you reach character level 5 (2), character level 11 (3) and character level 17 (4). You must expend one charge per target. A creature can only make a saving throw from one source at a time. (Meaning if you exhale three times on the same point, a creature in the middle of them all can only save from one of them, and will take average damage from the other two.
You can use this Breath Weapon a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier plus your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest. The reset condition becomes Short Rest at character level 11 and unlimited at level 17.
Damage Resistance
You have Resistance to the damage type determined by your Draconic Ancestry trait.
Darkvision
You have Darkvision with a range of 60 feet.
Draconic Wings
Your Flying speed is 30 feet.
