Homebrew Diego Species Details

The Diego are a nomad race of Deer people, with massive antlers and some innate magical power vested in them. Diego can wield magic borne from the very frost of the air (when present), and are equally cold hearted, first and foremost looking out for themselves 

Originally there had been a unified Diego nation on the north island gathered under the Divine Seer Glacia (a champion of Abys), but following their Seer’s Death and Capital’s Destruction at the Hands of the Blood demon, they scattered amongst the mainland and those who weren’t captured or killed roam the land looking for any wealth or power they can get their hands on. 

Diego Traits

Diego have the following Traits:

Cold Nature

Your thick fur helps you stay warm in cold regions, but smothers you elsewhere. Resistance to cold, but remaining in remarkably hot areas for long periods adds exhaustion twice as fast

Frost Shield

You have innate connection to the cold. In snowy and frosty regions you can as an action use ice to form a temporary shield that increases ac by 3 for one round or until you are missed by an attack that would have hit otherwise.
