Homebrew Critter (and siblings) speices Species Details

 

Very few are found outside a secretive branch outside of the Arcaneum, and to history and educations they don't even exist. As such little is known about them, if they are even real.

Variant traits

Due to the many experements that they have had been forced into, they can range from having 3-10 traits that originate from some other beast or race. This includes posibilities of scail patches, tails, changed eyes, ears, horns, altered bones and more.

Has a few possible minor traits that impact gameplay. Up to 4 can be chosen.

Claws

Due to the experements with some chosent beasts, the subject may have natural claws. These can be used as 1d4 slashing non magic damage.

Preditors eyes

Due to the beastly eyes the subject can have 30 feet of dark vision.

Mountain dweller

Due to the effects of ecxperements this subject is a natural climber gaining +5 feet climbing speed.

Ocean dweller

Due to naturaly being attaken to water they gain a +5 swim speed.

Dextourus tail

Tail can be used to grab or hold items. However if the tail is the only limb or the focal limb in a strength roll, it will be with disadvantage.

Prey instinct

Gainst a +1 bonus to rolls on perciving attackers or finidng hidden traps.

Sharp teeth

Teeth can be used for a bite attack of 1d6 peircing dmg.

They often find themselves acting in ways that can align with many of the things that were spliced to their bodys.

Age

Aarakocra reach maturity by age 3. Compared to humans, aarakocra don’t usually live longer than 30 years.

Alignment

Most aarakocra are good and rarely choose sides when it comes to law and chaos. Tribal leaders and warriors might be lawful, while explorers and adventurers might tend toward chaotic.

Size

Aarakocra are about 5 feet tall. They have thin, lightweight bodies that weigh between 80 and 100 pounds. Your size is Medium.
