Homebrew Wereraven Species Details

Ability Score Increase

You gain a +2 bonus to one ability score and a +1 bonus to another of your choice.

Traits & Abilities

Lycanthropic Agility

You have advantage on Dexterity saving throws against effects you can see, such as traps and spells, and you take no damage on a successful save against effects that allow half damage (Evasion).

Shapechanger — Wereraven Hybrid Form (1/Long Rest)

As a bonus action, you can assume your hybrid wereraven form for up to 1 minute.
While transformed:

  • You grow black feathers and talons, and a pair of raven wings.

  • You gain Temporary Hit Points equal to twice your proficiency bonus.

  • You can make a claw attack (Melee Weapon Attack, +STR or DEX to hit, 1d8 + modifier slashing damage).

  • Your walking speed increases by 10 feet.

  • You gain a gliding speed of 30 ft.: when falling, you can move 30 feet horizontally for every 10 feet descended, and you take no falling damage if conscious.

  • You have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks while in dim light or darkness.

You can speak, cast spells, and wield weapons normally in this form. The transformation ends early if you fall unconscious or choose to end it as a bonus action.

Keen Senses

You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight or hearing.

Silent Wing

You have proficiency in the Stealth skill. When you move no more than half your speed, you do not make noise that can be heard from more than 10 feet away.

Messenger’s Instinct

You can mimic simple sounds you’ve heard, such as whispers, animal cries, or short phrases. A creature that hears the sounds can tell they are imitations only with a successful Insight check (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier).

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and Corvian (a language of sharp clicks and rasping calls understood by ravens, wereravens, and corvid kin).

Wereraven Traits

As a Wereraven, your lycanthropic heritage grants you the grace of shadowed skies and the sharp instincts of a hunter. Agile and silent, you move like a whisper through the world, watching everything from above. When your feathers unfurl, you become a swift and cunning predator—more omen than mortal.
