Homebrew Accidental demigod Species Details
Once a kenku bard of the College of the Jester — voice of ridicule, mirror of hypocrisy — Lutet sought a punchline grand enough to make even the gods laugh.
In pursuit of it, they cast Legend Lore upon Pelor, the Dawnfather, to learn the secret behind divine radiance.
But mortal minds were not built to know sunlight. The spell didn’t just reveal a story — it implanted one. A fragment of Pelor’s truth lodged itself in Lutet’s soul, and their laughter turned golden and unbearable.
When the smoke cleared, Lutet stood transformed: feathers of gold and black, eyes burning with truth they could barely contain, wings stretching wide enough to hide the sun behind them.
They are not chosen. They are contaminated with divinity — a bard who mistook enlightenment for a joke and made it stick.

The fragment of Pelor within you still hungers for revelation.
When you roll a natural 1 on a Charisma check or saving throw, the divine spark flares. You gain advantage on your next roll involving truth, revelation, or insight — but your eyes blaze with sunlight, shedding bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for another 10 feet for 1 minute.
Radiant Resurgence (Divine Restlessness)
You no longer sleep.
Instead, you stand still through the night like a statue of gold and shadow, absorbing faint starlight.
At dawn, you are restored as though you completed a long rest — all features, spell slots, and charges return as the first rays of sunlight strike your feathers.
If you are ever deprived of dawnlight for more than 24 hours, your brightness wanes: you gain one level of exhaustion until next exposed to direct sunlight.
