Homebrew Aether Vale Mothfolk Species Details

Graceful, mysterious humanoid fey with shimmering wings, Aether Vale Mothfolk dwell at the edges of the mortal world where mist, starlight, and planar magic intertwine. Attuned to twilight and the veils between realms, they are introspective wanderers, skilled in stealth and subtle magic. Their delicate wings and ethereal presence mark them as both wondrous and fragile, capable of flight and slipping between shadows with ease.

Aether Vale Mothfolk Traits

As an Moth kin, you have these special traits.

Lightvision

You have Darkvision with a range of 60 feet and you have disadvantage on sight based perception

Fey Ancestry

You have Advantage on saving throws you make to avoid or end the Charmed condition.

Phase Step (1/short rest)

As a bonus action, you teleport up to 15 feet to an unoccupied space you can see.
You regain the use of this ability after a short or long rest.

Multiple Limbs.

As an insectoid, you have an additional pair of arms. Your main set of arms have claws that are similar in shape to hands and can be used as such. Your second set of arms has insect-like claws and is not as versatile. These claws can be used to swim, climb, hold things or pick them up, and may work as somatic components if your DM allows it. They are, however, unable to use weapons. You may require custom armor and clothing to accommodate your wings and second set of arms.

vulnerabilities and resistances

self explanatory, I didn't want to write out all the bs

Lepidopteran Vulnerability

Your wings are delicate. You have vulnerability to fire damage.

Planar Resistance

At character creation, choose one of the following damage types: acid, cold, lightning, or radiant.
You gain resistance to that damage type.
(I choose cold btw)

I also have vulnerability to to radiant while in direct sunlight and resistance to necrotic while in pitch darkness or fog

proficiencys

You have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made in dim light, mist, or fog.

Moonshadow Mantel (1/short rest)

You can wrap yourself in a veil of silvery motes and melt into the shadows.

As a bonus action, while you are in dim light, mist, fog, or darkness, you become invisible until the end of your next turn. The invisibility ends early if you attack, cast a spell, or enter bright light.

You can use this feature once, regaining use after a short or long rest.
