Homebrew Amalthean (Unicorn-person) Species Details

Amaltheans, like tieflings, typically have horns and tails, though some may lack or attempt to hide these traits; even so, they will retain a blaze upon their forehead or strange coloration in their hair. They tend to have a fine layer of hair on their bodies, especially on their chests. Some also may have this extra fluff on their jawline, the backs of their calves, or their forearms. 

Like unicorns, Amaltheans retain innate magical abilities and good-aligned dispositions, though they are not as strong in this reduced form. They have a tendency to gravitate towards other good-aligned creatures and may display aggression towards evil-aligned creatures.

Ability Scores: Increase your Wisdom or Charisma by +1.

Age: Without regaining their form as a unicorn, Amaltheans live for around 300 years.

Celestial Resistance: You have advantage on saving throws against spells.

Mystic Origins: You know the Druidcraft cantrip. Once you reach 3rd level, choose either Entangle or Detect Evil & Good. You can cast this spell 1/day without components or a spell slot. Once you reach 5th level, choose either Pass Without Trace or Calm Emotions. You can also cast this spell 1/day without components or a spell slot.

Gentle Nature: Once per day, you can heal someone 1/2 your level (rounded down; minimum of 1) plus your casting stat bonus number of hit points. If you do not have a casting stat, use your charisma bonus.

Tails which are approx. leg length and have a small fluff at the end; a horn, often somewhat curved, at the center of the forehead; a blaze around or in place of the horn; thin, sleek fur across parts of the body.
