Homebrew Anguiform Lineage Species Details

Beings of the Anguiform Lineage appear humanoid, however they are extremely tall and long limbed. They are a rare breed of creatures that typically hide amongst humans and elves.

The Anguiform Lineage typically are very pale, they do not have scales, though their skin can appear scaly up close. They can sometimes have skin of various bright colors as well, but this is rare. Anguiform Lineage have deep yellow snake-like eyes, and typically have very wildly varied hair colors and styles by nature, though some may style it or color it differently. They are often hunted by monster hunters if they learn of their nature, as the Anguiform Lineage is frowned upon typically.

As an Anguiform Lineage, you have these special traits.

Long-Limbed

When you make a melee attack on your turn, your reach for it is 5 feet greater than normal.

Snake-Like Movement

Your Serpentine nature has changed the way you control your body, you gain proficiency in the stealth skill, and can bend and contract parts of your body to fit through spaces that normally only a small or larger creature could.

Serpentine Reflexes

As a reaction when you are attacked by another creature, you can bend and weave your body to reduce the damage taken. Roll 3d4 and reduce the damage by the number rolled. If the damage is reduced to 0 you can move up to 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks, and give yourself advantage on the next attack against that creature.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to half of your proficiency bonus per long rest.

At 5th level you can add your dexterity modifier to the roll for this ability.
