Homebrew Chiropteran Hybrid Species Details
Born from the alchemical union of man and bat, the Chiropteran Hybrid walks the thin line between intellect and instinct. Originally bred as arcane researchers seeking to quantify sound and motion, their descendants inherited both a scholar’s mind and a predator’s senses. A Chiropteran Hybrid perceives the world through the rhythm of echoes and heartbeats, a living symphony of vibrations in the dark. The flick of a coin, the murmur of breath, even the hum of magical energy paints a picture in their mind more vivid than sight itself. Despite their unsettling features, many Hybrids are articulate, curious, and sharply intelligent, finding work as scholars, auditors, or investigators in cities tolerant of their eccentricities. Others hide their heritage beneath hoods and gloves, wary of superstition and the fear their appearance can inspire. Their culture values knowledge and self-control, seeing these as the only ways to separate themselves from the feral Chiropteran Primes, monstrous counterparts that embody the beast they suppress. Though their condition isolates them, most Hybrids cultivate an odd charm, their soft, echoing voices and impeccable manners masking the constant chorus of sounds only they can hear.
Chiropteran Hybrid Traits
All Chiropteran Hybrids share a suite of physical and sensory adaptations that make them exceptional listeners, keen analysts, and uncanny navigators in the dark. However, their sensitivity to noise leaves them vulnerable when the world grows too loud, or too quiet.Ability Score Increase

Echolocation
While you can see normally within 15 feet, beyond that range you perceive through sound up to 30 feet.

You automatically fail any sight-based Perception checks while blinded in this way.
Keen Hearing
You have advantage on Perception checks that rely on hearing.
