Homebrew Cyclopses Species Details

The first three Cyclopses were creators, innovators, and honorable. Unfortunately, upon their birth, their hideousness convinced Kronos that they should be trapped within Gaia alongside their other horrific siblings. Almighty Zeus saw the benefit of having these three as allies, and after he released them from their earthly prison, they in turn gifted him with the lightning bolt. Even after the murder of the weaker four by Apollo, they served Zeus loyally and without question. They are respected as truly divine craftsmen. The modern, mortal cyclopses are not descendents of these three, but were instead formed by the falling droplets of blood from the castration of Kronos. Much like giants, these beings are tall and mighty. Unlike them, cyclopses are not doomed to savagery. In fact, some have taken up the craft of their step-forefathers. These few are some of the greatest craftsmen alive, though they still receive disrespect for their singular-eye’d appearance. This alone is why most of the species have taken up barbarism and thievery

The defining characteristic of a cyclops is their singular eye directly in the middle of their face, just above the nose and ending on the forehead. They do not receive any issues concerning depth perception, and in fact can see further and clearer than most humans.
