Homebrew Armor Mimic Species Details

A Hermit Mimic can inhabit any inanimate object that can comfortably contain a human-sized volume, roughly equivalent to 70 liters. The object must be large enough to allow the Hermit Mimic to fold or compress its body inside, but it does not need to perfectly conform to the shape of the Mimic’s true form."

"Hermit Mimics may occupy objects as large as a small wardrobe or chest, so long as the internal space equals roughly the volume of an average human. there can be void space. 

Bite Attack: 1d6 piercing damage

  • Scales like a natural weapon (Str modifier adds to attack/damage)

  • Can be used instead of a weapon when unarmed or in object form

  • Optional: add a small bonus if in object/mimic form 1d4 piercing

Armor Mimic Traits

Hermit Mimics are small, pastel-purple creatures with flexible, rubbery bodies and wide mouths lined with sharp, interlocking teeth. They favor inhabiting objects for protection, striking with surprising dexterity and clever ambush tactics.

Mimic Shell

Volume cannot be less than 70 liters and can only exceed at the dms discretion.
