Homebrew Bahamutborn Species Details
The Bahamutborn are a rare and revered lineage—born, never made—whose existence lies at the crossroads of draconic might and celestial grace. Though they share much in common with Dragonborn in build and presence, each Bahamutborn carries unmistakable aasimar radiance, marking them as something other, something touched by a legacy older than most living memory.
Their connection to Bahamut is not one of literal divine genesis but of cultural reverence. In the eyes of the faithful, they are living symbols—walking embodiments of the Platinum Dragon’s ideals. Whether the gods agree or not is a matter for theologians; the people believe, and so the Bahamutborn walk the world with the weight of expectation upon their shining wings.
Bahamutborn Traits

Size: Medium or Small (about 4–7 feet tall)

Your lineage stems from a dragon progenitor. Choose the kind of dragon from the Draconic Ancestors table. Your choice affects your Damage Resistance traits as well as your appearance.

Breath Weapon
When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can replace one of your attacks with an exhalation of magical energy in either a 15-foot Cone or a 30-foot Line that is 5 feet wide (choose the shape each time). Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 8 plus your Constitution modifier and Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, a creature takes 1d10 damage of Radiant. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage. This damage increases by 1d10 when you reach character levels 5 (2d10), 11 (3d10), and 17 (4d10).
You can use this Breath Weapon a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.
Damage Resistance
You have Resistance to the damage type determined by your Draconic Ancestry trait.
You also have resistance to your choice of Radiance or Necrotic due to your Aasimar bloodline.
Darkvision
You have Darkvision with a range of 60 feet.
Draconic Flight
Feathered wings radiant, and glimmering propel you through the world. Along with your walking speed you will gain a flight speed to match.
