Homebrew Umamusume Species Details

Blessed with strength and stamina far greater than any human, Umamusume are natural athletes. Born with an urge to run, many of them dedicate their lives to racing, which has become a popular sport in their world. While not every Umamusume may follow this path, many of the most famous celebrities are runners. These stars often grace magazine covers, television shows and many other facets of popular culture. While they may have many motivations for running, and may compete or cooperate, all of them share an unshakeable thirst for victory, a determination that drives them forever towards the goal, however far it may be.

You are an Uma, a horse girl reincarnated from horses of other worlds.

You were born to run; your physical strength and speed are superior to those of a normal person.

Physically, you are no different from a normal human, except that you are slightly taller, more robust, and, most notably, you have horse ears and a horse tail. You need to eat large amounts of food to sustain yourself.

At present, only females are known to exist; there are no males.

Umamusume Traits

running engine, distance engine, performance engine

Running engine

Every umamusume has her own running style, choose which one will make up your own engine

Front runner: You like to run and stay ahead of everyone else. If you are a front runner and you initiate combat, when you roll initiative, you will add 1d6 to that result. If you are the first in attack, you will have +15ft of additional movement for the duration of the combat

Pace chaser: Whenever you are surrounded by your allies in combat, you receive +4 AC and all your saving throws are made with advantage.

Late surger: You can move backward freely without spending your action or bonus action or generating an opportunity attack
After 5 minutes of combat, if you overtake an enemy or someone in your group, you add 1d6 to your roll

End closer: If you are the last to act, with each turn you accumulate an extra point that can be used in any attack/ability/save you want to make, which can be accumulated throughout the combat. From 6 points onwards, you can add an extra 1d4 to each attack or action you make.

Distance engine

Born to run, not all umas have the same strength, choose yours.

Sprint: All your dexterity rolls, as long as they are at a target/location that is 10 feet or less from you, will have advantage
You can use Dash as a free action once per short break
disadvantage in constitution rolls, your resistance is inefficient

Mile: Add your Charisma bonus to your Athletics or Dexterity rolls.
If you remain in your preferred running position (front, pace, late, end), you add 1d4 to your actions per turn.

Medium: Advantages in your athletics and dexterity rolls
if you fail, you can roll again, once per turn/round

Long: Proficiency in Constitution saves (if you already had proficiency, you gain expertise).
You can ignore difficult terrain once per long rest.
If you move more than 40 feet in a turn without using Dash attack, you regain 1d6 hit points.

Dash attack

You sprint forward up to 30 ft to ram one or more enemies, dealing bludgeoning damage and knocking them prone. Depending on your running style, you gain access to one of these variants

Front Runner Dash: If you are within 15 ft of the target, you deal an additional 1d6 bludgeoning damage.

Pace Chaser Dash: If you attack an enemy positioned in the center of more enemies/characters, you deal an additional 1d8 bludgeoning damage.

Late Dash: If you are 20ft or more away from the enemy, you overtake without spending a bonus action, dealing an extra 1d8 bludgeoning damage.

End closer dash: The distance you can dash increases by 15 ft. (for a total of 45ft.). If you dash to the maximum, you deal 3d8 additional bludgeoning damage.

terrain aptitude

Each uma is better suited to one type of land than another, so choose yours.

Turf: Smooth, easy terrain is your thing. As long as you are on normal or smooth terrain, you get a bonus of 5 ft. of extra speed.
You receive a debuff of -20 ft. on difficult terrain, and the range of your dash attack is also reduced by 20 ft.

Dirt:
The difficult terrain fills you with adrenaline, giving you the strength and endurance to walk over it, making you immune to any adversity that would normally affect other living beings.

Speed demon

Now you are stronger, you trained hard and increased your speed by 10ft.

Double kick
