Homebrew Ascended Species Details

Overview The Ascended are an ancient, majestic species native to Thora. They possess large, feathered wings, curved or crown-shaped horns, and a faint celestial glow beneath their skin a sign of their connection to the old gods.They were not born naturally.They were created by the Tree of Life and the gods. Appearance.  Wings: Usually white, silver, gold, or deep midnight. They can fold tightly or spread to twice their body width. Horns: Vary by lineage spiraled, swept-back, antler-like, or short and crown-shaped. Eyes: Often bright, star-like colors (silver, amber, violet, pale blue). Build: Tall, graceful, stronger than humans despite looking lean. Aura: When emotional, soft light radiates around them.

Ascended Traits

You can Increase one ability score by +2 and another by +1. (Or three different scores by +1 +1 +1.) Your celestial eyes give you Darkvision 60 ft. You have resistance to radiant damage You can fly equal to your walking speed. You cannot fly while wearing heavy armor or while incapacitated. If your wings are injured or bound, you lose your flying speed. Your horns are natural melee weapons. 1d4 bludgeoning damage Your celestial blood grants minor innate magic. You know the light cantrip and healing word at 1st level. At 4th level:You can cast lesser restoration once per long rest. At 5th level: you gain +1 to str. Your spellcasting ability for these spells is Wisdom. You speak Common, Celestial, and one extra language of your choice.
