Homebrew Yetal Species Details
Yetal trace their origins to the frozen peaks of the Frigidlands, a harsh landscape of biting winds and perpetual ice. Long ago, they adapted to survive where Hylians could not, developing thick coats of fur and immense physical strength to withstand the crushing weight of snow and the monsters that prowl the glacial ruins. Even as the world fractures, the Yetal retain the gifts of their isolation: resilience, warmth, and an unshakeable bond to their kin.
Yetal are, on average, massive and imposing. They are covered in thick fur that ranges from snow-white to glacial blue or gray, with large, expressive eyes and prominent lower canines. Yetal youths are taught that true strength lies in hospitality; a Yetal’s home is their heart, and a warm bowl of soup is the ultimate defense against the cold dark. While many are content to guard their mountain hearths, some Yetal venture down the slopes, seeking to test their strength against the world or to find ingredients for legendary meals.
