Homebrew (E.N.H.) Germanic Elf Species Details

this species is an germanic type of elf.

faeries are based off of the germanic version of the elf. and germanic elves are spirits not living beings.

germanic elves are immortal and ageless because they are spirits.

germanic elves have supernatural abilities such as shapeshifting and the ability to heal others.

germanic elves have strong connections to nature and the elements.

note: when you die as a germanic elf you are teleported to the spirit realm because a germanic elf is a spirit and a germanic spirits hit points are the points you need to stay in the mortal realm. so when you have zero hit points, you make death throws in order to stay in the mortal realm. also your weapons and arrows are created out of magic but that does not mean that your attacks are magical.

Elf Shot

you have advantage on hit rolls and attack rolls when attacking any creature that lives like how any D&d beast lives.

this ability shows the germanic elf's ability to hunt beast like creatures well in the wild.

 

Alter Magic

you can change the type of damage a spell does before you use that spell. you must tell the dungeon master when you decide to have your magic do a different type of damage.

this ability shows a germanic elf's strong connection to the elements of magic.

Elf Shapeshifting

You can use an action to shapeshift into any medium size to tiny size creature with your stuff you are wearing ending up magically fitting your new form but nothing is changed about your character sheet except your type of attacks you can do, your temporary form's shape, and your temporary form's species abilities. you can shapeshift into large size forms at character level 10, huge size forms at character level 15, and gigantic size forms at character level 20.

note 1: use my list of weapons made simple to custom roll the attacks but each weapon attack has a range that goes up to 120 feet at advantage and 121 feet to 300 feet at disadvantage.
note 2: this ability shows a germanic elf's non permanent shape of it's spirit form.

spirit body

you don't need food, water, air, and sleep, but when you take a long rest or short rest, you end up in the spirit realm for a total time of 4 hours. you are magically transported back to the place you were before you took a long rest or short rest. you only are teleported to the spirit realm for a total time of 4 hours if you need some more hit points gained from a short rest or when you need at least some boxes on your character sheet unchecked after doing a long rest. if you do not need added hit points or any boxes unchecked on your character sheet then you can guard the party while your allies are sleeping. it is not necessary for you to take a long rest per day since you don't need sleep.

note: this shows that a germanic elf is a spirit but not a living creature.

Heal Ally

as an action you can magically restore (1d20 + your proficiency modifier) hit points to an ally. the range of this ability is up to 60 feet with advantage but 60 feet to 100 feet with disadvantage

note: this shows the germanic elf's ability to heal others.

Spirit Movement

because you are a spirit you have two traits: Amorphous and Incorporeal Movement

Amorphous. You can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch without squeezing.

Incorporeal Movement. you can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. You take (1d10) force damage if you end your turn inside an object or creature.

Your Movement Speeds

you have two main movement speeds that germanic elf species have.

your walking speed is (40 + your Proficiency modifier).
your flying speed is (40 + your Proficiency modifier).
the maximum number amount of speed you get while you are in a shapeshifted form totals (30 + your Proficiency modifier).

your carrying capacity

your carrying capacity is large size.

your size

your size is medium or small.
