Creature Type

You are Humanoid

Size

You are Medium (about 4–6 feet tall) or Small (about 3–4 feet tall), chosen when you select this species.

Speed

You have a walking speed of 30 ft.

Flight

You have a fly speed equal to 40ft, but cannot hover. You cannot fly while you are wearing heavy armor or are overencumbered. You cannot make 2-handed attacks while flying.

Myopia

Myopia. You have disadvantage on Perception checks related to sight. While wearing spectacles made for you, you do not have disadvantage from this trait. Anything outside of 30ft is invisible to you while you don't have your spectacles, though you can still gauge brightness. You can spend 8 hours and 50 gp of materials, which are only consumed when you succeed, to make a DC 15 Dexterity (Glassblower's Tools) check to make a new pair. Someone else can do this for you, but you must be present while they are being crafted.

Echolocater

You have exceptional hearing and can hear things that others might not, but you also have vision attuned towards the dark.
Echolocation. By emitting virtually inaudible clicks with your tongue, you are able to interpret audible information as if it were visual for up to 120ft. Unless Deafened, you effectively have vision, darkvision, blindsight, and the ability to see invisible creatures/objects with substance. This also allows you to see through magical darkness; however, you can't discern colors or shades using these senses. You also have an advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks related to hearing. You lose these senses while under the Deafened condition.

Sensitive Ears. Due to your sensitive ears, thunder damage and other loud sounds can hurt you. If you take thunder damage, you must succeed on a Constitution saving throw to maintain Concentration. The DC equals 10 or half the damage taken (round down), whichever number is higher, up to a maximum DC of 30. Upon failing this save, you gain the deafened condition for 1 minute. Upon rolling a critical failure on this saving throw, you are unable to use the echolocation feature until you receive magical healing.

Social Creature

You are from a species known for its social bonds, you gain proficiency in Perception, and a skill of your choice between Insight, Persuasion, Deception, Performance, Sleight of Hand, or an instrument.

High Frequency Communicator

You can hear sounds of a much higher frequency than most humanoids and can communicate with them, too. You learn the Druidic language and can communicate with other chiropterans seemingly silently at a range of 120ft. You may also communicate with other species capable of hearing high frequencies in this way.

Lanuage

You can speak Common and one other language of your choice
